Apologies for the title, it’s almost as bad as something out of one of the tabloids but I couldn’t resist. I have just been going through the Masters heats images and thought this little sequence needed to be shown even though the image quality is really poor.
Everyone was watching as the first heat of the Masters paddled out, to see what it was like out the back. Chris Mannion was first up catching a couple of the big heavy monsters out the back. This I think was Manni’s 3rd wave, which actually looked like it had a half decent shape until Manni tries to pull into a cover up (what were you thinking??? did you even look at that frothing lip ????), and he nearly makes it too.
