The Isle of Wight Surf Club Chairman and the Islands representative for Surfers Against Sewage Matt Harwood is part of the England Surfing Team heading out to the Azores to compete in the European Surfing Championships from the 13th – 22nd September. Matt won the 2011 Isle of Wight Frost Bite Series and earlier this year came 2nd in the Masters of the English Nationals.
The English Surfing team will be traveling to the Azores Islands, to compete in the European Surfing Championships 13th – 22nd September.
The European Surfing Championships is a prestigious surfing event.
SOLA have again continued to support English surfing and have agreed to sponsor the 2013 team clothing.
The European Surfing Championships is a high profile event on the international surfing calendar with 14 countries competing for team & individual positions. This event is held every two years alternating between the European Junior Surfing Championships.
2013 has been the most surreal year of my life, so many lows and highs. So by some crazy twist of fate 2013 continues….I’m off to surf and represent England next week at the European Championships in the Azores. Super excited and nervous. Should be amazing.
